Politics

Politics as a category is generally applied to the art or science of running governmental or state affairs, including behavior within civil governments, but also applies to institutions, fields, and special interest groups such as the corporate, academic, and religious segments of society. It consists of social relations involving authority or power and to the methods and tactics used to formulate and apply policy. Modern political discourse focuses on democracy and the relationship between people and politics. It is thought of as the way we choose government officials and make decisions about public policy.

Two Hundred Years of Tyranny

By: Matt R. Erickson

The hour is late and the Republic is in trouble. Conservatives have lost their faith in the enumerated powers listed in the U.S. Constitution that may be implemented only using necessary and proper means, by those swearing an oath to support the Constitution. Instead, patriots have sadly put all their political-minded efforts into voting and elections—majority rule Democracy—because they listened to their political opponents claim that election winners may rule untouch...

Century Sentence 2020 version

By: xuechun xu; xuechun xu

Brief Introduction of the Book 2020.2 The book records my comments about all events in the world in the form of diary. Every event documented and reviewed has been based on political affairs in a contemporary age. Our age now has entered a particular period in which traditional religion has failed in its attempt to adjust the relation between men as usual. Human beings therefore are exposed to a great risk. I have been given a sign from God to help human beings...

Same Pop Different Government : Book 1: The Corruption and The Int...

By: Mike Hampton; Mike Hampton

I became an activist and citizen journalist after stumbling into Democratic Alliance (DA) crime that stretched from my home town of Knysna to the party’s South African leadership. I soon discovered that the DA operated from the shadows, and were more like Apartheid's National Party than the liberalism icon they marketed themselves as. To silence me, they repeatedly took me to court whilst running a disinformation campaign that falsely labelled me as a sociopath and a pae...

Nobody gets killed in the first couple of chapters. Everybody gets to keep their fingernails because there weren't any good cops to do the pulling. In another chapter, I'll do it myself, rip them off... twist some nipples too... but I'll keep the shock therapy for you. The longer you read, the wetter the sponges on your head will get, the more electricity I'll send you. But you've got to get through this first because everything needs beginning... Countdown to Kingdom's Come : Gathering all as a hen--under his Wi...

By: Rochelle A. Laura

The Kingdom has been an idea for millennia. This essay is a breakdown of this idea.

Frozen in the tundra of theology, the saber-toothed KINGDOM awaits its unearthing. The allegorical Origin on the Kingdom is subverted here with pertinent info. God commanded on Sinai that there should be no camera-replication (images on an image of metal [screen]) of his historical event. Overcoming this we ‘see’ His Kingdom.

Understanding Federal Tyranny

By: Matt R. Erickson

Understanding Federal Tyranny begins with a two-chapter overview, to provide a general framework to explain how government servants effectively became our political masters. Then, the last three chapters “follow the money” to prove true the outline in a specific case (the case of how our lawful money of gold and silver coin was effectively replaced with irredeemable paper currency). Understanding Federal Tyranny answers The Peculiar Conundrum— the odd phenomenon of how m...

Conservadorismo é amor

By: Marcelo Hipólito

Anti-National Humanist

By: Ankur Mutreja

In this essay, the author is trying to answer the question: is there a political possibility of existence of a humanist as an anti-national humanist? He wonders if it is possible for humanists like doctors to not become the externalities of nationalism labeling the blood saffron, green, red, black and white (even pacifists die in wars between nations).

Costa Rica is a Central American state that, while underdeveloped, touts a culture of “Pura Vida,” which literally translates as ‘Pure Life.’ Unsurprisingly, Costa Rica is ranked as the “happiest” country in the world according to both the World Database of Happiness (Veenhoven, 2013) and the Happy Planet Index (Abdallah et al., 2012). Herein, the measure of happiness will be reviewed against the key MDG indicators and subsequently be discussed in terms of how findings a...

Democracy and How to Solve It

By: Predrag Stojadinovic; Tijana Mandaric, Illustrator

An obvious problem with democracy is the belief that the majority opinion is somehow the best one. Many examples exist in human history, where the majority clearly held a false belief or made a very bad decision through voting. From the banal example of the earth being flat, to the election of completely incapable or just plain crazy leaders. Even Socrates, more than 400 years before the Common Era, made a valid point is that voting in an election is a skill, not a rando...

By: Jean-Jacques MONNE

« Le totalitarisme et le fascisme sont-ils en train de se développer ? » C'est la grande question à laquelle chaque citoyen est censé pouvoir répondre à tout moment. Mais de quels outils dispose-t-il pour faire le diagnostic de cette maladie politique ? Quelle est la définition du fascisme et comment entreprendre cette réflexion au niveau individuel ? Cette ouvrage synthétise les principaux travaux sur le sujet et cherche à déterminer, sans a priori, si le salafisme...

Anarchist Apartheid : The Weltanschauung of Indian Unipluralism

By: Balasundaram Subramanian, Ph.D.

“The genius of Indian social life lies in living together separately.” Humayun Kabir (at the inaugural of IIT Madras, 1959). This essay seeks to highlight segregation as the keynote of traditional Indian life and caste as the key to the evolution of segregation. Caste in India could, over the centuries, unfold a truly pluralist polity, though each caste in itself was quite monolithic. The coexistence without coalescence of numerous castes could facilitate a polycentr...

“Contraries of belief and diversities of religion…are in fact part of the scheme of Providence; for as a painter gives beauty to a picture by a variety of colours, or as a gardener embellishes his garden with flowers of every hue, so God has appointed to every tribe its own faith, and every sect its own religion that man might glorify him in diverse modes, all having the same end and being equally acceptable in his spirit.” [Statement made by the learned Brahmin pundits...

The Shrouded Satanism in Feudal Languages : Tribulations and Intra...

By: Ved from Victoria Institutions

This book I wrote, I presume, in 2013. It is a huge book of epic parameters. The basic underlying theme is the essential difference, planar-languages has with feudal-languages. Feudal languages are quite powerful, in that, the moment they are spoken, the social structure and human relationships change powerfully into a custom-design hierarchy, depending on the language. When planar-languages are spoken, the social system and human relationship shift towa...

Essence of improving Now this brings us to the essential question of: what is improving others? The easiest ideas would be giving them food, giving them education, giving them dress and such other things. Well, food is an essential requirement. Since the word education is a wide one, for the time being one can say, giving information. Dress is also a part of social living. Well, these are only the minimal things, which only make a person barely sustain himself or hers...

Waging War without Congress First Declaring It

By: Matt R. Erickson

Waging War without Congress First Declaring It examines American actions involving Korea and Vietnam, which were the first major wars not formally declared as such by Congress. Not all is at it first appears, and Americans interested in understanding how fundamental American principles are summarily ignored by federal officials and members of Congress need to examine critically such actions.

By the express command of U.N. Participation Act of 1945—enacted by the Congress of the United States of America and signed by American President Harry S. Truman—all pertinent parties understood the American law that the U.N. special agreements “shall be subject to the approval of Congress by appropriate Act or joint resolution.” Legislative Acts and joint resolutions both require approval of both Houses of Congress—the Senate and the House of Representatives—and the si...
